Magister Academy
Magister Academy, which was founded in 1993, is situated in the centre of St. Julian’s, a very popular seaside resort. A brand new Academy was built in 2004. This large modern premises is air-conditioned throughout. It comprises of; 34 classrooms, administration offices, a drama centre, a conference hall, library and a very large open-air area where students spend their free time and evenings.
In June 2008 the Academy inaugurated a very modern self-catering residence exclusively for use by our students. It has all the amenities and facilities needed including WiFi internet and cable TV. The Academy also provides accommodation with host families, in hotels or self-catering apartments, which are all licensed by the Malta Tourism Authority.
The Academy is licensed by the Ministry of Education as a school to teach English as a foreign language to foreigners, and is also recognised by the Ministry of Tourism as a service provider within the tourist industry. The Academy was the first school on the island to be accredited by FELTOM in 2006.
The Academy has a vast daily programme of free-time activities. Students ‘think’ and ‘speak’ English all the time as they are encouraged to communicate in English, both in and out of the classrooms.
Magister Academy which is fully accessible for persons with disabilities is opened all year round.
